Not to be confused: Vestibular rehabilitation is a neurosensory therapy and balance rehabilitation is more of a neuromotor therapy.

Osteopathy is a holistic medical discipline that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases and injuries of the body. Its main approach is to view the body as a single entity in which all systems are interconnected and influence each other.

The osteopath views the body as a complex structure in which movement restrictions, blockages or dysfunctions can lead to pain, dysfunction and imbalances.

Aim:

Through manual techniques such as gentle manipulation, mobilisation, stretching and pressure point massage, osteopathic treatment aims to restore:

• the body’s natural mobility,
• alignment and
• balance.

Osteopathic treatment can be used for a wide range of conditions, including:

• musculoskeletal problems such as back pain, neck and joint pain,
• headaches,
• sports injuries and
• rehabilitation after injury or surgery. In addition, osteopathy can also be supportive for disorders of the
• digestive system,
• respiratory system,
• nervous system and
• hormonal system.

This is a gentle technique for treating lymphatic disorders, which often manifest as one or more oedemas.

The aim of this technique is:

• to stimulate the lymph in the body to reduce oedema and remove toxins from the body.The insufficiency of the lymphatic system no longer guarantees the removal of the lymphatic load that leads to oedema. Generally, the hallmarks of oedema are a visible and palpable increase in tissue.

We treat :

• primary and secondary lymphoedema
• traumatic oedema
• postoperative oedema (after mastectomy, etc.)
• lipo-lymphoedema
• inflammatory oedema.

Factors such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, scarring, paralysis or other pathologies can complicate the treatment of oedema and reduce the therapeutic benefit.

Contraindications to MLD include:

• Infections
• acute venous pathology
• cardiac or renal insufficiency.

A complementary treatment to MLD can be a compression or elastic bandage as well as decongestant and mobilising exercises.

Neurological physiotherapy is a specialized treatment that aims:

• to improve movement and function in individuals with neurological conditions or injuries.
• It focuses on enhancing mobility, coordination, and overall physical abilities through tailored techniques and exercises.

Cranio Mandibular Dysfunction (CMD) treatment involves addressing dysfunctions related to the jaw joint (temporomandibular joint or TMJ) and associated structures. It typically includes a combination of techniques such as manual therapy, exercises, and patient education.

• improve jaw movement and
• restore proper function of the jaw joint and surrounding muscles. Treatment may also involve the use of oral appliances, relaxation techniques, and lifestyle modifications to manage symptoms and promote long-term relief.

Uro-gynecological and ano-rectal rehabilitation deals with the treatment of disorders of the urogenital, pelvic and anorectal areas.

Aim:

These rehabilitation techniques focus on:

• strengthening muscles,
• improving control and
• relieving symptoms associated with bladder and bowel disorders, incontinence, pelvic floor weakness, pelvic pain and other related conditions.

Antenatal and postnatal pelvic floor therapy supports women during and after pregnancy. It strengthens the pelvic floor, reduces problems such as urinary incontinence and pelvic pain.

In scar treatment, all questions about your scar after an operation or trauma are answered.

We inform them about normal scar development and support you in daily care. This includes hydration, application of silicone products and sun protection.

Respiratory physiotherapy in pediatrics is necessary for bronchiolitis, cystic fibrosis or asthma in infants.

It is a painless and non-invasive technique that clears the airways, that is, the mucus that is in the bronchi or upper airways (nose, mouth, throat or trachea) is evacuated. Breathing is improved. A time interval of at least 2 hours between the last meal and the physiotherapy treatment should be observed.

The pharyngo-buccal antepulsion thus enables the mucus to be evacuated at the end of the session.

Another role of the physiotherapist is to assess the health status of the child and to advise the parents in this regard.

Sports physiotherapy is a specialized branch of physiotherapy that focuses on the prevention, assessment, and treatment of sports-related injuries and conditions. It involves the application of specific exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and other therapeutic interventions to optimize athletic performance, promote injury recovery, and prevent future injuries. Sports physiotherapists work closely with athletes, providing rehabilitation, injury management, and performance enhancement strategies tailored to their specific sport and individual needs.

• to prevent injury,
• to help athletes regain optimal function,
• reduce pain, and
• safely return to their sport as quickly as possible.

Chinese therapy, also known as Chinese medicine , is a holistic approach that includes acupuncture and special massage techniques.

It aims:

• to regulate the flow of energy in the body and
• restore balance.

Dry Needling is a therapeutic technique in which thin needles are inserted into muscle knots, also called trigger points.

Aim:

This process aims:

• to relieve muscle tension,
• improve blood circulation,
• reduce pain and
• therefore improve mobility.

Compared to acupuncture, which is based on energetic meridians, dry needling focuses directly on treating muscular problems. It is often used as part of an overall therapy that may include exercise, manual therapy, and other techniques.

Tecar therapy is a treatment method that uses high-frequency electromagnetic energy.

Aim:

• stimulate tissues and
• achieve physiological effects such as improved blood circulation and cell regeneration.

It promotes patient recovery from

• sports-related injuries: sprains, strains and bruises,
• muscle injuries and
• back pain.

It is also used to treat rheumatism, arthritis and scars.

Shockwave therapy is a medical treatment method used to relieve pain and regenerate tissue. Shockwave therapy involves directing high-energy sound waves at the affected area of the body. These sound waves create pressure pulses that penetrate deep into the tissue and produce a number of therapeutic effects.

Shockwave therapy is often used for musculoskeletal conditions such as

• tendonitis,
• calcified shoulder,
• heel spurs or
• tennis elbow.

It can also be used for other conditions such as wound healing disorders or circulatory disorders.

The main goal of a neurosports group is to help participants improve their motor skills, coordination, balance and other neurological functions.

The neurosports group can include various sports activities and exercises, such as balance and coordination training, strength and endurance exercises, games, gymnastics, yoga or specific sports that are adapted to the needs of the participants.

The course takes place every wednesday from 10.30 to 11.30 am in the music hall in Kehlen.

A Pilates class is a physical workout that aims to build muscle, flexibility and posture. It focuses on the core of the body and uses controlled movements and breathing techniques.

The class runs on mondays from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm and from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

Tuesdays from 06.00 pm to 07.00 pm and from 07.00 pm to 08.00 pm.
